Coal junior Wescoal has announced a four-step transaction that will increase its life-of-mine by 15 years in the medium term.The transactions include the acquisition of the remaining 40% of the Vlaklaagte mining right, owned by Proudafrique, the selling of Vlaklaagte to Xstrata, the purchase of Elandspruit from Xstrata and the purchase of the surface rights to the properties from Xstrata subsidiary Duiker Mining, Wescoal CEO Andre Boje said.
