Junior exploration companies often find themselves searching for mineral deposits in arid terrain. What few of these companies bargain for is searching for capital in today's equally parched financial environment. Securities regulators can't be rainmakers, but the Ontario Securities Commission (0SC) has introduced five new or amended prospectus exemptions to make capital raising more efficient. Raising capital outside the prospectus regime may allow more finance to reach a mineral project.
