Canariaco Norte resources up

DURING preparation of the prefeasibility study for development of Candente Copper Corp's Canariaco Norte porphyry copper-gold-silver project in Peru, consultant AMEC has increased the resource estimate. The consultant remodelled the resource, reclassifying categories using several cut-off grades. Candente said at the base case cut-off grade of 0.3% Cu, tonnage contained within measured and indicated resources rose by 21%, and contained copper rose by 16%, compared with the previous estimate in September 2008.
