Bullish India sells 20 percent less iron ore to China

China imported 20 percent less Indian iron ore in May as bullish suppliers held on to stocks in anticipation of higher prices. China imported 8.92 million tonnes of iron ore from India, its third largest supplier last year, down 16 percent year-on-year, according to customs figures. Top supplier Australia also saw its shipments fall 4 percent from April to 21.7 million tonnes in May, up 62 percent year-on-year. Brazil filled the gap, selling13.6 million tonnes to China in May, up 6 percent from April and 42 percent higher year-on-year.
