Codex standard for DON in grains, infant formula put on hold in response to industry complaints

A Codex committee poised to approve a new maximum limit (ML) for deoxynivalenol (DON) in raw cereal grains and infant formula was stopped, at least temporarily, after U.S. food companies and others complained the standard would disrupt trade. The latest action gives the U.S. grain industry time to work on a solution.
