South Korea: Urea imports up through H1, June down

South Korean imports of urea from January through June of 509,000 mt were up 16.3% on H1 2015, but arrivals from China were down 17% to 340,000 mt as demand for high netbacks rendered Chinese suppliers less competitive in the region. Qatar continued to take advantage of the situation, increasing the volume to 121,000 mt from 25,000 mt, and arrivals from Indonesia (24,600 mt) and the UAE (18,000 mt) were up from zero in H1 2015.
