France: Urea imports ahead in June and in H1

French importers took delivery of close to 100,000 mt urea in June 2016, up by 30.6% on June 2015. Activity at present remains subdued with farmers still concentrating on harvesting and crop-quality issues. Algeria was in the lead with 35,000 mt from 11,500 mt, the Netherlands up 56% to 20,000 mt, Egypt up 50% to 11,600 mt, Germany up 41% to 8,700 mt and Belgium up to 8,300 mt from 2,300 mt. Russia was down to 3,900 mt from 16,000 mt while Belarus and Libya were at zero from 6,500 mt and 4,400 mt, respectively.
