DoE grants Pieridae non-FTA export approval for Goldboro LNG

The US Department of Energy (DoE) has granted Pieridae Energy permission to export gas from its proposed 10 mtpa Goldboro LNG plant in Canada to countries with which the US has no free- trade agreement (non-FTA), Pieridae said on Monday. The permit applies to US-sourced gas and supplements an FTA export licence granted to Goldboro by the DoE in 2015, as well as an export permit granted by Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB).
