A display device shall be provided for a vehicle. The display device may be a display unit configured to represent an external environment around the vehicle and to be flexible, and a housing configured to support the display unit in which the display unit is switched on when the display device is not used, the display unit is disabled when the display device is used and includes operation of the display unit by a drive unit embedded in the housing.
