Malaysia's state-owned Petronas plans to invest up to US $20 Bn in an LNG plant and related infra- structure in Canada's British Columbia (BC), according to reports. The Pacific NorthWest LNG project will consist of two LNG trains, each with a liquefaction capac- ity of 6m tonnes per annum (tpa), by the end of 2018 or 2019, said. Around $5 Bn of the planned costs would go towards a pipeline project to be built by TransCanada that would supply gas to the two LNG trains on Lelu Island in the Port Edward dis- trict of the province.
