Petronas Developing Plans for $20-BN Integrated Refinery. Petchem Project

Kuala Lumpur- Petronas expects to complete this year the detailed feasibility study for a $20-billion integrated refinery and petrochemicals complex in Johor, Malaysia. The project, known as the Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development (Rapid), involves a 300,000-b/d refinery; a naphtha cracker to produce about 3-million t/y of ethylene, propylene, C4 and C5 olefins, and downstream petrochemical and polymer facilities.
