SOCO’s Vietnam success

SOCO International reports that the first phase of testing a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility offshore Vietnam to see if it can handle volumes greater than 55,000 b/d of oil has been successful. The first phase of the multi-stage capacity test on the FPSO unit on the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field successfully processed sustained production at more than 60,000 b/d of oil. SOCO said this confirmed its expectations, based on pre-test simulations, that only minor modifications to the lowpressure separator system would be required.
