State-owned China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) has handed Singapore's RH Energy a US $8.2m equipment supply contract for the second West-East gas pipeline project in China. RH Energy will supply 88 sets of pressure control system to be installed along the main and branch pipelines of the project. Deliveries are schedule during the third quarter of this year. Including the CNPC order, RH Energy's outstanding order book stands at $38.8m, said the company. The West-East pipeline will travel around 9,102km and span 14 provinces. The pipeline network is designed to transport natural gas from Central Asian countries and northwestern China's Xinjiang province to the Pearl River Delta region, the Yangtze River Delta region and mid-south region in China.
