China's state-controlled Sinopec on Tuesday said production slipped by 1.8% year-on-year to 1.286 million boe/d in the first half of 2015. Even natural gas output -- a recent growth driver -- failed to register an increase. Asia's biggest refiner, which has been tilting further upstream in pursuit of greater profit, said crude oil production fell by 2.25% overall -- down 4.3% in China but up 11.3% overseas -- to 961,000 b/d.
