Statoil Shuts Huldra Output for Good

Statoil has permanently shuttered output from its Huldra platform off Norway after extending the gas and condensate field's anticipated production life span by six years. But it has yet to find a buyer for the North Sea facility. Huldra came on stream in November 2001 and has since produced 17.5 Bcm of wet gas at an 80% recovery rate. At its peak the field produced more than 11 MMcm/d of gas and 4,000 cubic meters a day of condensate.
