Japan’s LNG Imports Slip

Japan’s LNG imports in February slipped by 1.9% to 7.52 million tons, according to data from the Ministry of Finance last week. This was 8.6% lower than the monthly record of 8.23 million tons booked in January (IOD Mar.1’13). The dip in volumes was a result of warming temperatures as Japan approached the spring season in February.
