The concept of satisfying Asian demand for LNG with low-priced Canadian natural gas looks good on paper, but the country needs to move quickly if it wants to join the ranks of global LNG players, according to a report released last week by Ernst & Young. Topping the to-do list is a C$50 billion (US$50 billion) investment to build the necessary LNG export infrastructure on the country's west coast over the next five to 10 years, the report says.
