Russia's prosecutor-general has begun an investigation into possible irregularities in the recent revision of Moscow's 2009 deal to supply China with 300,000 barrels per day of crude oil. According to Russian business daily Vedomosti, the probe was launched in late February at the request of Nikolai Kolomeitsev, a deputy in the State Duma representing the Communist party.
