Exxon Delays Singapore Units

Exxon Mobil will delay the start-up of a massive new petrochemicals plant in Singa- pore because of construction "issues," Singa- pore's Business Times reported Tuesday. The plant, given the green light in 2007, is being built on Jurong Island, the city-state's petro- chemicals and refining hub. It is slated to have a 1 million ton/yr ethylene cracker and six other petrochemical units, including two 650,000 ton/yr polyethylene units and a 450,000 ton/yr polypropylene unit.
