Aramco Faces Trouble in the Desert

Saudi Aramco's Shaybah oil megaproject will in the next few years be unable to produce at its design capacity of 750,000 barrels per day unless the state oil giant spends billions of dollars installing new facilities, industry sources tell International Oil Daily. As Aramco works to complete its latest 250,000 b/d project to boost Shaybah output to 750,000 b/d, it has learned that natural gas liquids (NGLs) production - part of the associated gas stream - will exceed original design expectations.
