Dubai-based East African Exploration (EAX) said Thursday it has agreed a deal with Ireland's Aminex to boost EAX's stake in Kenya's Block L17/L18 production sharing contract by 25%. Under the deal, EAX receives $1 million and operatorship of the block and raises its interest to 65%. In return, Aminex gets EAX's 10% interest in Tanzania's Nyuni production sharing agreement.
