Net Earnings of Industries Qatar Fell by 4.8% to $2.2 Billion in 2013

Industries Qatar (IQ) has reported a 4.8% drop in its net earnings to QR 8 billion ($2.2 billion) last year from the record QR 8.41 billion attained in 2012. Commenting on the results in a note submitted to the Doha stock exchange, the Minister of Energy and Industry, Mr. Mohammed bin Saleh al-Sada, pointed out that they were the second highest in the company’s history, “clearly showing the group’s ability to generate strong profits and cash flow even during the difficult international market conditions experienced during the year.”
