India probes reliance power plant awards

The Indian government has called for an investigation into the award of three coal-fired power projects to privatesector firm Reliance Power. Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) said Reliance was ineligible to bid for the Tilaiya, Sasan and Krishnapatnam ultra mega power projects (UMPPs), each of 3.96GW, and has recommended the awards be investigated.
