Westshore terminal in British Colombia shipped 5pc less coking and steam coal in the first quarter than a year earlier after damage to one of its two coal berths in December rendered it inoperable until 7 February. Westshore shipped 6. 1mn metric tonnes of coal in the first quarter, down from 6.4mn mt a year earlier, Westshore Terminals Investment said in its first-quarter earnings report.
