Shiseido discovers key to long lashes

Japanese beauty brand Shiseido has discovered a new ingredient, which is believed to help eyelashes grow longer through promoting their growth rate. The ingredient, called Zizyphus jujuba fruit extract, is based on the brand's latest discoveries in the relationship between the growth rate and length of eyelashes. It found that eyelashes have a more rapid life cycle of four months, but a slower growth rate of 0.18mm per day, compared with scalp hairs.
