Linde to Set up Air Separation Plants in China

Yinchuan, China: Linde will build six major air separation units for Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group Co and Shenhua Logistics Group Co at Yinchuan in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of northwest China. The air separation units will each supply around 100,000 cu metres/hour of gaseous oxygen to Shenhua Ningxia's coal-to-liquids (CTL) complex at the Ningdong Energy Chemical Base. The oxygen will be used for the production of 4 million mt/year of CTL, mainly liquid fuels derived from coal, making this one of the largest coal-to-liquids projects worldwide. Linde will be responsible for the engineering, supply of machinery and equipment, supervision services at the site, turnkey supply of the cold boxes and training the customer's personnel. The air separation units are scheduled to go on stream in 2015.
