Waters includes Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica in its 'Centers of Innovation' programme

US-based analytical technologies firm, Waters Corporation, has welcomed the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica's (SIMM) Research Center for Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine under the direction of Dr. Dean Guo into its 'Centers of Innovation (COI)' programme. The centre plays a leading role in the effort to develop standardised methods for analysing the authenticity and compositional integrity of traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) and bring them into compliance with quality standards instituted by the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA).
