Shell completes acquisition of BG Group after shareholder approval

Royal Dutch Shell has completed the ￡47-billion ($67.2 billion) acquisition of energy company BG Group (Reading, UK). The deal was first announced in April 2015. Shell and BG shareholders separately approved the deal in late January 2016.
