Ciba Specialty Chemicals says it will debottleneck its fluorescent whitening agents plant at McIntosh,AL,to keep up with a "significant,long-term increase in demand." The whitening agents are used in the production of paper.Ciba says its policy is to not disclose the plant's capacity or the capacity increase.
