Solvay Creates JV to Produce Hydrogen Peroxide in China

Solvay says its Solvay Interox subsidiary will form a joint venture with Suzhou Electronic Materials(SEM;Suzhou,China)to develop,manufacture,and market high-purity hydrogen peroxide at Suzhou.The jv is due to start up a plant in the first half of this year with initial capacity of 2,000 m.t./year,Solvay says.The facility will supply the semiconductor industry in China.The jv will take the name Interox SMEC.Solvay will own 51% of the jv,and SEM will hold 49%.
