We made an experiment to encourage communication among students in classroom with a chat system. We found a heavier burden for students than our expectation from the experiment in 1991. This year, we made our experiment under several settings. For example, restriction of speech act, intervention by teacher and discussion time for chat are changed. Students evaluated chat a little beneficial. We restricted speech act to make it easier to recognize sentences, but it was unfavorably received. Students want means to make discussion with each other as well as to question and answer. They also want intervention by the teacher. The choice of topic and the expedition by the teacher influence the quality of discussion in discussion time.
