In the study, vibration damage diagnosis is performed on a running aircraft engine at a test-bed. Three damage detection technologies are applied to the vibration signals - novel demodulation, and novel and classical residual techniques. Diagnostic features are defined from each technology and trended over time. The results show that these technologies have the ability to provide early damage diagnosis with some noticeable difference in their feature evolution. The advantages of these technologies are compared and discussed.
