摘要

Hemolytic activity of the ketoderivatives of 20(S)-protopanaxadiol and some semisynthetic glucosides was studied in order to elucidate structure-activity relationships. Both substitution of the 12#beta#-OH and/or the 3#beta#-OH in aglycones of the glucosides by a keto group significantly decreased hemolytic activity. The hemolytic potency of the compounds tested mainly depended on the position of a keto group and less depended on the position of glucose residues. Hemolytic effects of the 20-O-#beta#-D-glucopyranosides of 20(S) -protopanaxadiol > 20-monoglucoside of 3-ketone >20 -monoglucosie of 12-ketone > 20-monoglucoside of 3, 12-diketone. In contrast to 20(S) -protopanazadiol and its glucosides hemolytic activity of the compounds possessing keto groups was independent of the pH of medium, except that the 20-O-#beta#-D-glucopyranoside of 3, 12-diketone.
