Results of analyzing demographic structure in the settling part of Spalax microphthalmus population are given. In the sample of settled individtuals a drastic predominance of females in the first age cohort (0.83) was observed, but in elder cohorts males prevailed. Sex ratio varied from 0.2: 1.0 in the first cohort up to 1.69-2.0 : 1.0 in higher ones. The first cohort significantly differed in female proportion from the second (t= 3.28, p <1) and elder (t = 3.39, < 0.01) cohorts, The sexual structure of the group containing settling inaiviauals differed significantly (X~2= 3.39, p < 0.01) from that of the middle-aged population. The rate of settling different-aged females was proportional to that in their population, for males significant differences were determined (X~2 = 21.68, p = = 0.0029). Differences between age distributions in the population and in the sample of settled animals were observed in males of the 1st and 2nd age cohorts, in females-from the 1st one. Males are mainly sealed in the second year of life, females-in the first one. Distances of settling range within several tens and hundreds of meters.
