摘要

140GHz ultra-wideband (UWB) millimeter wave radar offers a great advantage for 3-dimensional imaging sensors which is applicable in optically blurry situations, such as dark smog. For such application, we have already developed the range points migration (RPM) method, which achieves highly accurate 3-dimensional imaging. However, this method suffers from inaccuracy or expensive computational cost in the case of target with many reflection points, such as human body. To overcome this difficulty, this paper newly introduces the range points clustering algorithm, by exploiting the RPM feature. Results from numerical simulations assuming 140GHz radar verify that the proposed method achieves remarkably accurate 3-D imaging without sacrificing the computational efficiency.
