Production of recombinant BMP-1 (bone morphogenetic protein-1) in Escherichia coli

BMP-1 is one of the most important factors in mineralization process. However, the understanding of BMP-1 on molecular basis remained to be researched. For the production of recombinant BMP-1 in Escherichia coli, we isolated BMP-1 cDNA by RT-PCR,and cloned the cDNA into the expression vector pGEX-3X. This paper describes the detail.
