摘要

The processes of the laser alloying of industrial steel (0.7 percent wt. C) by the titanium boride TiB_2 are investigated by the X-ray methods and metallographic analysis. As revealed, metastable Fe_3B-type compounds are formed in the surface layer of laser-influence zone. In deep-lying layers, the stable Fe_2B-type boride is formed. The repeated remelting of alloyed surface promotes increasing microhardness of deep-lying layers of the laser-influence zone.
