摘要

In broadband wireless communications such as WLANs, degradation of transmission quality due to the multipath propagation is a serious problem. A multi-sector antenna is useful to compensate the multipath interference, and have been studied in many literatures. From the viewpoints of mass producibility and ease of installation, it is preferable to introduce a multi-sector antenna having a planar configuration. To meet these requirements, a planar-type multi-sector antenna consisting of a slot Yagi-Uda array with post-wall cavity is proposed in this report. First, characteristics of the single-sector array are revealed by the FDTD analysis. Next, 3- and 6-sector antenna with the proposed configuration is fabricated and measured. The effectiveness of the proposed design is confirmed by the experimental results.
