摘要

In broadband wireless communications such as WLANs, degradation of transmission quality due to the multipath propagation is a serious problem. A multi-sector antenna is useful to compensate the multipath interference. The authors have previously proposed a planar-type multi-sector antenna consisting of a slot array with backward excitation, and have clarified its characteristics with measurements. To confirm these results numerically, the moment method analysis of the sector-antenna mentioned above is carried out in this report. Procedures to evaluate the mutual coupling between the adjacent sectors are explained, and the analysis of a 5-sector antenna is performed. Numerical results are compared with the measurements in 10GHz band to validate the analysis.
