Passive-active radar methods and devices in the air traffic control structure

The capabilities of application of joint radiometric and radar systems (JRRS) of meteorologic assigning in informational-measuring air traffic control systems are discussed. The singularities of JRRS, used for detection of zones of the most probable icing of planes, are considered. The analysis of measurements accuracy is resulted, the main errors sources are investigated, the methods and devices for elimination of detected errors are developed. An example of a JRRS realization and outcomes of cloudy atmosphere probing are described.
