Although the depletion of oil resources was quite worried through 1970's, it is now confirmed that we can still enjoy oil reserves that has a reserve-production ratio of about 40 years. In this paper, future prospects oH oil resources will be analyze4 from the following viewpoints such as (1) why the reserve-production ratio did not decrease, (2) what kind of evaluation was made on ultimate oil recoverable reserves recently, (3) what happens if we consider unconventional oil resources and so on
