Jürgen Kruse-Jarres - 27 years working for the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology

With the beginning of the year 2013 the hitherto Editor-in-Chief of the "Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology (JTEMB)" - Prof. Dr. Jurgen Kruse-Jarres has retired. Both, the "Federation of European Societies of Trace Elements and Minerals (FESTEM)" as well as the German trace element society "Gesellschaft fiir Miner-alstoffe und Spurenelemente e.V. (GMS)" have (and always had) a good cooperative relation to this journal and specifically to Jurgen Kruse-Jarres. FESTEM, on behalf of all member societies (AISETOV, CEQCET, GMS, RUSTEM, SFERETE) wants to take this opportunity to warmly thank Jurgen Kruse-Jarres for his passionate efforts for this journal, and for his success. The story of the journal - since 1995 known as "Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology" - is closely connected to Jurgen Kruse-Jarres and the early beginnings of GMS. Both, GMS and a scientific journal about trace elements were co-founded by him already in 1985.
