Effect of Microwaves on Poorly Clinkering Gas Coal

The processes that occur in coal's organic mass under the thermal action of microwave radiation are considered. At present, microwave treatment has been studied in most detail for petroleum products [1] and lignite [2]. However, the findings may be applied, with some refinement, to the organic mass of coking coal. Coal is a dielectric, as we know [3]. Therefore, treatment in a high-frequency current field is possible. In the present work, we study theoretically the transformations in the organic mass of gas coal under the thermal action of microwave radiation and establish this effect for experimental samples.
