摘要

Remotely monitored multi level security systems employ sensors for motion detection in the protected areas. The accuracy and decisiveness of such sensor information needs to be improved in the current context. The confirmation of such sensor information has to be done through remotely viewed camera images as well. The comparison of camera images to detect any alterations caused by intrusion needs extensive data mining techniques. Thus, it is an important requisite that the sensor itself provides as accurate and optimal information relating to intrusion. The objective of this work in this regard is therefore centered around the relative assessment of commercially available sensors of intrusion based on motion detection through infra red, microwave, and ultrasound techniques as well as minimal pixel object imaging techniques.
