摘要

Renewable energy has potential application and limitations that depend on the local environmental resources.If appropriate renewable energy sources are selected and used complementarily the overall performance and potential supply time are anticipated to exceed those obtained by the individual use of these resources.This study established a complementary operation system,consisting of a 0.5 kW PV,1.4 kW small-scale wind power,batteries and ac/dc,dc/ac inverters.A 1 kW simple desalinator was designed and powered by this hybrid system.Nodal electrical and system performance data were measured.HOMER,developed at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory,USA,was used to illustrate and evaluate the technical and economic aspects of the diverse applications (gas irrigator,desalination/lighting,automatic feeder and heating) driven by such a hybrid system in a conventional land aquafarm in Taiwan.
