As the title implies, the authors' stated purpose for this book is to provide a series of reliability models for repairable systems.The target audience of the text is stated to be practitioners, including quality and reliability engineers, quality managers, and students taking a beginning graduate course in reliability. However, much of the book is devoted to extensive theoretical proofs rather than concrete examples of application, making it difficult for the average practitioner to glean much in the way of practical advice to be used when modeling a system. Indeed, even graduate students would need an introductory class in the basics of reliability modeling before this book would be of benefit to them.
