The coefficients of binary diffusion for liquid lead-magnesium alloys (19.11, 33.45, 52.46, and 83.06 at.% Pb) have been measured at 950 K by a y-Tay attenuation technique. Literature data on the thermal properties of Mg-Pb melts have been summarized. The composition dependences of molar volume, volumetric thermal expansion coefficient, and intercliffusion coefficient in the liquid state have been constructed and discussed. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
