A sustainable packaging design ‘show and tell’ exhibit put on at trade shows by custom plastic packaging thermoformer Dordan illustrate just how many choices confront the packaging industry when it comes to designing eco- friendly products. The Chicago, US-based firm has helped to capture some of the confusion and complexity that has dominated this topic. Dordan’s exhibit shows a plethora of materials derived from traditional petrochemical-based plastics, as well as polymers originating from plant starch and algae-based feedstocks.
