One of the world's largest PTA plants comes onstream

Last month,Lurgi AG (Frankfurt,Ger-many;edlinks.che.com/4817-533) and its partners Eastman Chemical Co.(Kingsport,Tenn.;edlinks.che.com/4817-534) and SK Chemicals Co.Ltd.(Seoul,South Korea;edlinks.che.com/4817-535) commissioned the world's largest Eastman polymer-grade terephthalic acid (E PTA) plant for Zhejiang Hualian Sunshine Petrochemicals Co.,Ltd.in Shaoxing,China.The plant is designed to produce 660,000 m.t./yr of E PTA.
