Teck Resources lowered its 2011 sales guidance by 1.0 million tonnes to 23.5 to 24.5 million tonnes, citing weather related conditions, rail and port delays. The company said the 9 week long strike at the Elkview mine is not a contributing factor to the lower sales guidance. "This annual guidance does not reflect any provision for further losses in production due to the Elkview labour disruption continuing into the second quarter or other potential labour disruptions," the statement said.
